Today we turn to the question what enlightenment at all is. We hear a lovely story about the five children that all get a wish. Then we read from the Rāgavirāgasutta (SN 45.41) as well as Vibhaṅgasutta (SN 45.8), which quote and explain the Noble Eightfold Path, guiding us to contentment. Full contentment means freedom from desires. The two suttas are found in the Samyutta Nikaya (SN), the collection of connected discourses. We’re reading it from Bhikkhu Bodhi’s translation on suttacentral.net:

Rāgavirāgasutta (SN 45.41) https://suttacentral.net/sn45.41/en/bodhi

Vibhaṅgasutta (SN 45.8) https://suttacentral.net/sn45.8/en/bodhi
