This week we skip the Jhana-section of last week’s sutta (see Session 058: Mahamalunkya Sutta (MN64), Part 2) and move on to its final curious question about what should come first, serenity or insight. We find the answer in another teaching called Yuganaddhasutta. It is found in the Anguttara Nikaya, the collection of numbered discourses. It’s in the book of fours, sutta number 170. We’re reading it from Bhante Sujato’s translation on suttacentral.net: https://suttacentral.net/an4.170/en/sujato

Enjoy today’s video, read and meditate with us, and join us next time live here.
