This week we finish reading the Mahamalunkya Sutta, or ‘The Longer Discourse With Malunkya’. We’re diving into the jhanas. Jhanas are stages of the mind that we go through as we relax body and mind more and more, learn to sharpen our mindfulness bit by bit, and lovingly and effectively deal with distractions which naturally come up during our meditation. We try to demystify them and encourage all viewers and meditation group members to experience them. We believe you can!

The sutta is No. 64 in the Majjhima Nikaya. We’re reading it from Bhante Sujato’s translation on suttacentral.net: https://suttacentral.net/mn64/en/sujato

Enjoy today’s video above, read and meditate with us, and join us next time live here.
