Intention for Today: Compassion

I set the intention for Compassion to fill our lives.

The word compassion from Latin means "to suffer with" from com meaning "with" and pati meaning "to suffer". When we feel an emotional connection to the experience of another or with a certain state of things we are expressing compassion. When something stirs your heart in the deepest way and creates not just a desire to help, rather a strong determination to actually take action to relieve another, it is compassion we feel. This action may simply be being fully present for the other to ease the burden of their pain.

May we feel compassion for one another. May we feel compassion for our Mother Earth. May we feel compassion for ourselves.

Thank you for Compassion in our lives.
