Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life. -Confucius

Have you had moments during your day when you began doing something and the next thing you noticed hours and hours had passed? It seems like minutes but in fact hours had gone by. All this time, you were a state of being called flow, also known as being in the zone or at your peak. At some point in our lives, we have all probably, had moments when we were so engrossed in what we were doing that we completely lost track of time. Often times, this is when we are creating or simply enjoying something intensely.

This has happened to me as well and during such moments, I have experienced a certain ease about things. Ideas flow easily. Creativity is buzzing. I feel energized and often feel like I have dissolved myself in what I am doing. It is absolutely beautiful.

When we are in the flow, there is no resistance. We float along like a canoe that is moving along, in the direction of the river. There seems to be no effort involved. Like the clouds floating wherever the wind takes them.

How can we recreate such moments on desire? How can we repeat them over and over again? And can we live in a perpetual state of flow, every minute of our waking hours?

I can guess that there is research being done out there on this. As I come across it, I will update it to this blog.

For now, I will become aware whenever I have just come out of such states. What we focus on, we become. So be it.

Share with me your moments of being in the Flow. How do you feel when you are in one? Do you know how to recreate such moments on desire?
